I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2022 with a major in biology and a minor in public health. I developed an interest in human microbial ecology after working on a project in my Foundations of Biology laboratory during my sophomore year of college, which later led me to Dr. Staley's laboratory. During my gap years before applying to medical school, I plan to develop a deeper understanding of the human microbiota as it relates to a variety of diseases. I enjoy connecting my experiences working as an emergency department medical scribe with my research. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, and hanging out with my cat, Cosmo.
